Job Description

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all Electrical works across construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and safety standards. The role involves managing manpower, ensuring quality installation, coordinating with other trades, and supporting smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all Civil/MEP site activities, including excavation, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, finishing works, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installations.
  • Ensure all Civil/MEP activities comply with safety protocols, site regulations, permit requirements, approved method statements, and project specifications.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to Civil/MEP construction crews, technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers, while monitoring workforce productivity.
  • Monitor the progress of Civil/MEP works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, testing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve Civil/MEP site-related, technical, and operational issues, coordinating corrective actions with the relevant Engineers to prevent delays.
  • Coordinate Civil/MEP site activities with subcontractors, consultants, clients, Site Engineers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare daily Civil/MEP work plans and arrange the required manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and site access requirements in coordination with the Site Engineer.
  • Coordinate Civil/MEP works to ensure proper sequencing, interface management, and completion of activities according to the approved project schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily Civil/MEP activities, manpower utilization, installations, inspections, testing activities, and daily or weekly progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising electrical works within construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, wiring systems, GI conduits, and cable tray installations
  • Hands-on experience with LV switchgear installations, cable terminations, earthing, and lightning protection systems
  • Good understanding of DEWA, ADDC, and other local authority regulations and installation requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, load schedules, and specifications
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively
  • Experience in ELV systems installation is an added advantage
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, for reporting and documentation
