Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities. The role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the company’s overall financial management and business operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles and UAE financial practices.


Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented
• Prepare and issue invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and purchase orders
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Track incoming and outgoing payments and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support budgeting and expense monitoring activities
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions when required
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records and reports
• Process employee reimbursements, salaries, and petty cash transactions
• Assist with VAT-related documentation, calculations, and submissions as per UAE regulations
• Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve issues promptly
• Support management with financial data analysis and reporting requirements


Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and compliance procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software 
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of payroll processing and bank reconciliation procedures is an advantage
