Workshop Technician – Mechanical Workshop

Al Tariq is seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our Prototype Workshop team. This role is essential in supporting mechanical fabrication activities and ensuring high quality workmanship across ongoing production and development tasks.

As a Workshop Technician, you will perform a variety of welding and mechanical workshop duties, contributing directly to the construction, assembly, and maintenance of components used across Al Tariq’s operational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general welding tasks using MIG, TIG, arc welding, plasma cutting, and oxy acetylene equipment
• Support fabrication and construction activities within the mechanical workshop
• Assist workshop teams with day to day mechanical tasks as required
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
• Keep the welding and workshop areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  
  

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical schooling
• Skilled in manual lathe and milling machine operations
• Adequate technical training in mechanical workshop practices
• Practical welding skills across common workshop processes
  
  

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a welding or mechanical workshop environment
• Experience operating a variety of workshop machines
• Hands on mechanical and fabrication experience is essential
