Job Summary

Shape the visual magic behind SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s unforgettable performances as a Wig & Makeup Senior Manager, where creativity meets precision in crafting iconic looks for characters, dancers, and shows. You’ll lead the artistic and operational excellence of wigs, makeup, prosthetics, and hair designs, ensuring every detail aligns with creative vision, IP standards, and performance durability while collaborating with creative teams, producers, and vendors. With a sharp eye for innovation and a background in live entertainment—preferably in theme parks, theater, or large-scale productions—you’ll mentor a talented team, manage budgets, and maintain meticulous documentation to deliver flawless, repeatable looks. Responsibilities

• Lead the creative development of wig, hair, makeup, and prosthetic designs for all stage shows, dancers, characters, seasonal events, and special activations
• Collaborate with Entertainment Creative, Show Producers, and Costume Design teams to translate creative concepts into practical, repeatable performance looks
• Ensure all designs meet IP guidelines, cultural considerations, safety standards, and performance durability requirements
• Create, review, and approve final looks for new productions, refreshes, and re-staged shows
• Develop visual references, look books, face charts, wig plots, and prosthetic documentation to ensure consistency across casts and performances
• Manage, mentor, and develop the Prosthetic, Wig & Makeup team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professionalism
• Schedule, assign, and oversee daily workloads, show coverage, and special project staffing
• Provide hands-on coaching and training for performers and artists on correct application techniques and maintenance standards
• Conduct performance feedback, skills development, and knowledge-sharing within the team
• Oversee daily operations of the Wig & Makeup department, ensuring seamless support for all performances and rehearsals
• Maintain accurate inventory control of wigs, makeup, prosthetics, tools, and consumables
• Forecast needs, manage budgets, and place orders in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Establish and monitor standards for hygiene, safety, storage, and maintenance
• Oversee the team for wig washing, restyling, repairs, prosthetic fabrication, and lifecycle management
• Ensure performers consistently meet company standards for hair, makeup, and prosthetics through daily checks and audits
• Maintain high show quality by ensuring looks are performance-ready, durable, and consistent across casts
• Work closely with Seamstresses, Costume Technicians, Costume Attendants, and Wardrobe leadership to ensure cohesive performer presentation
• Participate in rehearsals, technical runs, and show installs to support creative alignment
• Support off-site and on-site public relations events, VIP appearances, and special projects
• Liaise and supervise professionally with external vendors, contractors, and creative partners
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all wig, makeup, and prosthetic designs
• Support the Senior Director of Costuming with reports, planning, and special initiatives
• Attend departmental and production meetings as required
• Ensure clear communication across the costuming and entertainment teams
• Support costume operations when required, including laundry coordination, repairs, and special projects
  
  

• Minimum 5 years professional experience in wig styling, makeup, and prosthetics and managing a team
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
• Associate Degree or higher in Theatre, Fine Arts, Costume Design, or related field
