Role Description

The Warranty and Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex transportation systems and equipment. Daily tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting repairs, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The technician will work closely with the operations team to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and rapid Corrective Maintenance (CM) on electrical and propulsion systems.
• Diagnose root causes failures by analyzing Electrical and Pneumatic schematics alongside diagnostic software data.
• Accurately log all maintenance activities, parts used, and technical findings into the CMMS to ensure fleet history and traceability.
• Ensure all electrical work aligns with Work instruction and strict safety protocols.
• Onboard the train during active service as required to perform real-time diagnostics and ensure operational continuity.
• Log all findings, part replacements, and engine hour data accurately using MS Excel.
  
  

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years in Rolling Stock maintenance (PM/CM environment).
• Commitment to a rotational shift pattern (including night shifts and weekends).
• Candidates with strong experience in Diesel-Electric power generation and engine mechanics are highly preferred.
• Prior experience in Overhaul or Heavy Maintenance is considered a significant advantage.
• Experience using digital maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar).
• A valid UAE Driving License (preferred)
  
  

• Strong verbal and written English skills for reporting abnormalities and coordinating with Team Leaders.
• A proactive "Swift Action" mindset when dealing with service-critical faults.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary maintenance and shunting team.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment with changing operational priorities.
