Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor & Forklift Operator role is a dynamic position that blends the responsibilities of a warehouse manager and a hands-on forklift operator. It's crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, and dispatching of goods. The individual in this role will supervise a team of warehouse workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Operate forklifts safely and accurately for moving goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper handling techniques and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with purchasing for restocking items.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure timely dispatch and receipt.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received, dispatched, and inventory counts.
  • Coordinate with logistics for efficient scheduling of deliveries and pickups.
  • Implement and optimize warehouse processes for increased efficiency and safety.
  • Resolve any issues with deliveries or storage quickly and effectively.
  • Assist in the development of warehouse policies and update them as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
  • Certification to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are essential for this role.
  • Proven ability to manage and optimize warehouse operations efficiently.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standard warehousing procedures is crucial.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills for effective management.
  • Strong communication ability for interacting with team and external partners.
