Support the strategic and operational delivery of Aldar’s landscaping projects by coordinating design development, ensuring compliance with standards, and promoting sustainable, high-quality landscape solutions. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, design consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project execution within approved timelines and budgets.
Roles And Responsibilities
Assist in managing the overall lifecycle of landscaping projects, ensuring alignment with Aldar’s design and quality standards.
Coordinate with landscape design consultants to ensure that drawing submittals comply with ICP criteria and project requirements.
Track project progress and performance, escalating risks or delays to senior management as necessary.
Work with architects, planners, and design teams to ensure landscape concepts complement Aldar’s luxury brand identity while meeting functional requirements.
Promote sustainable design practices, including water efficiency, native planting, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
Participate in design reviews and presentations from concept through delivery, ensuring consistency across projects.
Support compliance with AD 2030, UPC, and Estidama guidelines, and assist in securing necessary permits from relevant authorities.
Conduct periodic site visits to monitor design implementation, flag potential issues, and propose value engineering opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve design-related technical challenges through practical, cost-effective solutions.
Maintain productive relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers, supporting negotiations and ensuring adherence to Aldar’s standards for quality, safety, and sustainability.
Years Of Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape design and project management.
Minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership role managing high-end residential and commercial landscaping projects.
Technical And Interpersonal Skills
Proven track record in overseeing large-scale landscape projects in the UAE, specifically in the luxury real estate sector.
Experience in Residential Tower, Villa Communities and Public Realm streetscape projects.
In-depth knowledge of local regulations, codes (e.g., AD 2030, UPC, Estidama), and sustainability practices relevant to landscape design and urban planning.
Extensive knowledge of landscape design principles and sustainable landscaping practices.
Excellent project management skills, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing the implementation of large-scale landscape projects.
Proven ability to manage and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and external consultants.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Expertise in landscape planning, design software, and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Adobe Suite).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in Project Cost Management and Value Engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design
LEED certification or equivalent sustainable design accreditation is desirable.
Master’s Degree preferred.
