Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations on a wide range of animals.
• Diagnose illnesses and injuries through diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans for animals based on diagnosis.
• Perform surgical procedures, including spaying and neutering, with precision.
• Monitor and provide post-surgical care and support to recovering animals.
• Educate pet owners on preventative health care and nutrition for pets.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all treated animals.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary practice standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff for optimal care.
• Manage and direct emergency care in urgent and critical situations.
• Participate in continuing education to keep current with veterinary advances.
• Build strong relationships with clients to foster trust and client retention.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Valid veterinary license to practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Proven ability to conduct complex medical and surgical procedures on animals.
• Strong interpersonal skills for reliable communication with pet owners.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
