Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sonographic procedures and a penchant for providing exceptional patient care. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing medical conditions by operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal body structures. You will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining meticulous records. An ability to communicate effectively with patients and a keen eye for detail are critical for this role. Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment efficiently to capture optimal images for diagnosis.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ultrasound examination process.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to interpret ultrasound scans and provide diagnostic insight.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all ultrasound procedures performed.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Review ultrasound images for quality assurance before submitting them for physician review.
  • Provide clear instructions and information to patients regarding examination processes.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the ultrasound examination room.
  • Attend continuing education sessions to stay current with ultrasound technology advancements.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while handling ultrasound equipment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology training program or equivalent experience.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) is preferred.
  • Proven experience operating ultrasound equipment in a clinical setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and observational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
  • Proficiency in using computer software related to medical imaging and documentation.
