Job Description

The Training & Development Specialist is a crucial position within HR (Human Resources), responsible for enhancing the competencies of employees by designing and conducting training programs that boost employee workplace performance in alliance with the company’s core values. This role requires a dynamic and adept professional who can juggle responsibilities efficiently, from conducting skills gap analyses to managing training budgets. The specialist works closely with various departments to identify training needs and collaborates with industry experts to design curricula that meet those needs. Creative problem-solving and exceptional communication skills are essential for effectively engaging and educating team members. The aim is to motivate employees to acquire new skills and remain productive to ensure organizational growth.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement training programs tailored to the needs of different employees.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to determine the training needs within the organization.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to identify training needs for future development.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements accordingly.
  • Develop and utilize various training methods including workshops, seminars, and e-learning.
  • Oversee the scheduling of training sessions and manage the logistics involved.
  • Prepare educational materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of employees’ attendance and progress through training programs.
  • Keep abreast with the latest trends and innovations in training methodologies.
  • Manage the training budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
  • Provide feedback to participants and report on training outcomes to management.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of implemented training initiatives for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in training and development roles.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multitask effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office, learning management systems, and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
