Job Description

The Teller plays a crucial role in creating a positive experience at our bank branch. As the face of our institution, you will be responsible for ensuring every customer feels valued. A Teller's main responsibility involves handling transactions accurately and efficiently, thereby safeguarding the bank's assets while maintaining outstanding customer service. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping customers achieve their financial goals. Working closely with the rest of the branch staff, you will also actively promote and refer our products and services, contributing to the overall success of the branch. Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Verify customers' identification to prevent fraudulent transactions at all times.
  • Accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift daily.
  • Respond to customer inquiries with detailed information about bank services.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and refer customers to appropriate banking services.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer information consistently.
  • Assist customers with the resolution of account discrepancies thoroughly.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines strictly.
  • Educate customers on self-service banking options to enhance customer experience.
  • Report suspicious activities or transactions to the appropriate authority promptly.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Coordinate with other bank staff to improve customer service delivery collaboratively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or cash handling role preferable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success.
  • Strong numerical abilities and attention to detail are critical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications is required.
  • Commitment to providing an excellent customer experience is paramount.
