Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Teller to join our team. As a vital member of our financial institution, the Teller is responsible for delivering top-notch customer service by accurately and efficiently processing transactions at the teller window. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a proactive attitude toward customer satisfaction. Our Tellers play an essential role in our operations, acting as the front-line for customer interaction, and facilitating daily banking duties such as deposits, withdrawals, and other essential financial services. Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process cash and check deposits promptly and accurately for all customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to bank products and services.
  • Verify customer's identification and ensure all transactions comply with bank policies.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift to account for transactions.
  • Perform electronic banking transactions including e-bill payments and fund transfers.
  • Educate customers about financial products and services offered by the bank.
  • Refer customers to the appropriate banking specialist for further assistance as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer transactions and account information.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and audit standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance product knowledge.
  • Contribute towards achieving branch sales goals by creating leads and referrals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or cash handling role preferred.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers and standard banking software applications.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical banking practices.
