Job Description

The Telesales Agent plays a vital role in the sales department, bridging the company and potential customers primarily via telephone communication. As a Telesales Agent, you will be responsible for reaching out to existing and potential customers, informing them about our products and services, and ultimately closing sales to meet the company's revenue goals. This position requires a strong ability to handle rejection, bounce back with energy, and maintain a positive attitude. You need to be persuasive, dedicated, and skilled in verbal communication, ready to turn opportunities into successes. Understanding customer needs, building rapport, and offering tailor-made solutions will be critical. A Telesales Agent works in collaboration with other sales team members and reports to the Telesales Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers and introduce products or services.
  • Understand customer needs and offer appropriate sales solutions tailored to them.
  • Keep detailed records of calls and track customer interactions effectively.
  • Follow up with customers to solicit feedback or answer any questions they may have.
  • Meet or exceed sales and call quotas as set by management guidelines.
  • Participate in regular training and refreshers on products and sales techniques.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitive products and market conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management on the efficiency of the sales process.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adapt to company sales policies and constantly update selling strategies.
  • Develop and sustain a pipeline of qualified sales leads and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Telesales Representative or in other sales roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers effectively.
  • Ability to learn about products and effectively describe and sell them.
  • Strong negotiation skills and resilience in handling objections and rejections.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and passion for achieving targets consistently.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to manage varying call loads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in sales is a plus.
