Job Description

Parsons is seeking an experienced Telecommunication Radio Expert to join our team for a Rail project based in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunication radio systems to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency within the metro rail network.

What Youll Be Doing

• Design and develop telecommunication radio systems tailored to the operational requirements of the Abu Dhabi Rail Metro project.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations for rail communication systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate radio systems with other rail infrastructure.
• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecommunication radio systems.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery within the scope.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities in Abu Dhabi.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for radio communication systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Stay updated on advancements in telecommunication technologies and apply them to enhance system performance.
• Ensure all telecommunication systems adhere to safety, operational, and regulatory standards specific to Abu Dhabi and UAE.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system designs, test reports, and operational manuals.
• Support audits and inspections related to telecommunication systems.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including signaling, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  
  
  

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field).
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with substantial involvement in rail projects.
• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunication radio systems for metro or rail projects.
• Strong knowledge of radio frequency (RF) systems, wireless communication protocols, and network infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills Youll Bring

• Familiarity with industry standards such as EN50126, EN50128, and EN50129 is preferred.
• Experience with digital radio systems (e.g., TETRA, GSM-R, LTE-R).
• Knowledge of metro rail operations and signaling systems.
• Experience working on high-speed rail projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with UAE-specific regulations and standards for rail projects.
