The role of a Telecom Technician is pivotal in ensuring seamless communication infrastructure in today's fast-paced digital world. You will work with various testing equipment and tools to diagnose, isolate, and resolve telecommunications issues. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and program telecommunications systems including PBXs, LANs, and WANs.
• Perform regular maintenance and routine service checks on telecommunication equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure minimal service disruption.
• Carry out testing using specialized equipment to identify faults in communication networks.
• Upgrade and modify systems to improve efficiency and incorporate new technological advancements.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and service level agreements.
• Interpret and analyze wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers about telecom systems and features.
• Document service reports, equipment status, and repairs accurately for records.
• Ensure work complies with industry regulations and company standards for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of telecom equipment and recommend procurement when necessary.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on new telecommunication technologies.

Requirements

• A technical diploma or associate degree in telecommunications or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications systems maintenance.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and telecom network analyzers.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, communication standards, and protocols.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electronic diagrams accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical reasoning.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for effective client interaction.
