Technical Manager - AVLX

Location : Abu Dhabi (Candidates based in UAE would be preferred)

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager (AVLX) to lead all Audio, Visual, Lighting, Special Effects, and Power operations for a large-scale, high-impact seasonal activation in Riyadh. This role is ideal for a senior technical professional with a proven background in premium live events, immersive environments, and complex technical builds.

You will oversee the end-to-end technical delivery, ensuring world-class execution, operational excellence, and a seamless audience experience throughout the activation period.

Key Responsibilities

AVLX Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the planning, installation, testing, and live operation of all AVLX systems, including audio, video, lighting, special effects, and power.


• Ensure all technical elements come together to deliver a visually striking and immersive experience.

Audio, Video & Lighting Integration

• Coordinate seamless integration across all AVLX disciplines.


• Oversee system synchronization, programming, and performance optimization during rehearsals and live days.

Power & Infrastructure Management

• Design and implement comprehensive power distribution plans.


• Coordinate with utility providers, generators, and technical suppliers to ensure stable and redundant power solutions.

International Standards & Innovation

• Collaborate with international vendors and technical partners.


• Apply global best practices from large-scale cultural, entertainment, or destination events.


• Stay ahead of emerging AVLX technologies to elevate the guest experience.

Team Leadership

• Lead on-site technical teams and contractors.


• Foster a collaborative, solutions-driven working environment under tight timelines.

Operational Planning & Execution

• Develop detailed technical workflows, schedules, and resource plans.


• Oversee load-in, rehearsals, live operations, and load-out.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Maintain high technical and safety standards across all AVLX systems.


• Conduct regular checks, audits, and issue resolution.

Brand Activation Area Oversight

• Supervise AVLX installations within branded and experiential zones.


• Coordinate closely with creative teams and third-party suppliers.

Safety & Civil Defense Liaison

• Ensure full compliance with local safety regulations.


• Act as the primary technical contact for inspections and approvals.

Ideal Profile

• Extensive experience in large-scale live events, festivals, or immersive cultural activations


• Strong AVLX and power infrastructure expertise


• Proven leadership in high-pressure, fast-paced environments


• Experience working with international suppliers and multicultural teams


• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational risk management
