Key Responsibilities:
Team Leader, M&L Production is responsible for supporting Manager M&L Production in establishing, commissioning and operating the required Ammunition Plant & Facilities.
Ensure that the Ammunition Plant & Facilities operates efficiently, effectively and on a cost-effective basis in line with organizational strategy.
Operates the plant within applicable UAE laws and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for assigned project, see that it is completed on budget, on time, to required quality levels and achieves the project objectives.
Ensure that the comprehensive technical and training documentation delivered with any equipment by the technology partner.
Works towards the processes and end products, to meet the clients military specifications and ISO 9001 quality standards.
Ensure that all cultures and perspectives are respected and valued and form part of our organizational culture.
Sees that the team members skills are developed and continuously improved for the benefit of the individual and to raise organizational skill levels.
Provides effective training of staff to maintain cost-effective and efficient manufacturing processes that meet targets.
Plans to ensure optimally efficient and effective production processes are created and implemented.
Ensure all company staffs are kept informed and skilled in new technology and processes, works towards team member’s proper on job training and accreditation.
Ensures the safe and smooth operation of:
Bomb Body Plant
Filling Plant
Assembly Plant
Demilitarization Plant and
Scrapyard as per IATG best practices.
Adheres to contractual obligations and that they are fully met.
Closely monitor calibration and accurate performance of tools and equipment.
Adheres to world class safety, health and environmental standards and see that they are integrated into all manufacturing processes. Ensure a safe and accident-free operation.
Develop and plan new flow lines taking into consideration all risks and safety measures.
Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Notify Sr. Manager M/L Production of recurring workflow problems and any potential hindrances to productivity.
Hold and participate in regular group meetings to exchange work-related information.
Supporting Sr. Manager M/L Production to plan and schedule production to meet sales requirements in conjunction with the Procurement & Contracts department to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components to meet the production & sales plan
To support Sr. Manager M/L Production to maintain an effective production schedule with no line stoppages
To continuously improvise production, planning and stock control processes
To ensure increase in productivity by providing valuable inputs to production Manager in planning and quick response to schedule changes
To increase productivity by effective strategic planning.
Maintain continuous improvements which lead to cost reduction and quality improvement.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Diploma in Explosive Technology.
Formal qualifications and training in an explosives/ammunition-related discipline.
Preferred Experience
5-7 years of explosives industry experience in production and up to date knowledge of ammunition, explosives and associated components.
Strong understanding of explosives/ammunition environment.
Ability and experience in managing and supervising large teams in a potentially dangerous and stressful environment.
Experience in handling, storage and packaging of explosives and explosives components.
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English, and preferably also in Arabic.
Operating Environment
Must be able to deal with work-related deadlines, accountabilities and responsibilities
Must be able to work under frequent job pressure generated by short and inflexible deadlines
