Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the general accounting department and accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes effectively and on time.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior accountants and new team members.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate financial and accounting records.
• Facilitate the annual external audit process and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor actual expenditures against forecasts.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports for management outlining financial status and forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in general accounting or financial management.
• Proven leadership abilities and prior experience in a supervisory role.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills necessary.
