System Analyst

A leading financial institution relies on well-integrated, high-performing technology systems to deliver seamless services to its customers and internal stakeholders. The organization is seeking a System Analyst to act as a critical bridge between business and IT — analyzing requirements, supporting system operations, and ensuring that technology systems remain reliable, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear functional and system specifications.
• Support day-to-day system operations including issue analysis, root-cause identification, and coordination with technical teams and vendors.
• Act as the primary point of contact for system-related queries, enhancements, and defect resolution.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, process flows, impact assessments, and system documentation.
• Document system behaviors, integrations, dependencies, and data flows to ensure continuity and knowledge retention.
• Support change requests by performing impact analysis and effort estimation in line with ITIL-based change management processes.
• Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, fixes, and enhancements, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual commitments.
• Support UAT activities including test case preparation, execution support, and defect tracking through to closure.
• Ensure system changes comply with ADCB policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing system documentation, evidence, and clarifications.
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong experience as a System Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Good understanding of application support, system integrations, and data flows across complex IT landscapes.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITIL) processes including incident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to analyze logs, incidents, and system behavior to support structured troubleshooting.
• Experience working in banking or regulated environments is preferred.
• Awareness of risk, audit, and compliance requirements impacting IT systems.
• Strong documentation discipline with a meticulous approach to accuracy and control.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in ITIL, Business Analysis, or similar disciplines are an advantage.
