system technician

Position : System Technician (Grade 10)

Overview of the Role:

The System Technician is required to be competent to operate, maintain and potentially fault fine and fix the Mechanical and Climatic Environmental test equipment for which they are trained and competent

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Be trained to safely operate and maintain mechanical and climatic test equipment
• Follow the test plan for each test, ensure the equipment is configured according to the test plan and that the correct data is captured during the test.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance with the equipment procedures
• Ensure that all equipment is set up at each test in such a way that it is not damaged.
• Process data from tests and format in such a way that the Lead Technician and Test Specialists can produce test reports to client requirements.
  
  

• Knowledge mechanical and climatic test equipment
• Able to set up, operate and maintain equipment in an environmental test facility
• An interest in working in a test environment.
• Motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn.
• Flexible approach to work – willing to work overtime, ad hoc shifts or on customer sites as and when required.
• Good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills
• Good understanding of IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Conscientious with good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a commitment to delivering the best customer experience
