About The Role
The Systems Engineering is accountable for the overall technical integration, and compliance of turbofan propulsion systems throughout the full lifecycle — from concept to certification and service.
Acting between product engineering and product management, this role ensures the system meets all customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle of turbofan propulsion systems — from concept and architecture definition through integration, testing, certification, and service entry.
Establish and maintain the Systems Engineering framework (SEMP, requirements traceability, verification & validation plans) in compliance with standards defined.
Ensure full requirement traceability between customer specifications, regulatory constraints and subsystem technical requirements.
Drive the system architecture definition, functional decomposition, and interface management across propulsion subsystems
Lead integration activities between the engine and aircraft platforms, coordinating with airframe, installation, and control system teams.
Oversee System Safety and RMST (Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability, Testability) analyses in collaboration with safety and reliability engineers, ensuring compliance with related standards.
Support certification activities by providing system-level compliance evidence, participating in design and certification reviews (PDR, CDR, …)
Coordinate with Product Engineering, Product Management and Manufacturing to ensure system integrity, technical consistency, and certifiability throughout development and production.
Manage the technical baseline and configuration control for the propulsion system, ensuring proper documentation and change management.
Mentor, coach, and develop the systems engineering team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with company engineering standards.
Support Product Engineering and Product Management lines and participate in client/partner coordination
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems.
Demonstrated expertise in systems integration, requirement management, and certification for propulsion systems.
Strong background in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), configuration management, and PLM environments.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface with certification authorities and customers.
Experience with civil and/or military certification frameworks (EASA, FAA, EMAR) is highly desirable.
