  • Handle enquiries, bookings and payments, and communicate key updates to families
  • Support marketing activity, including providing social media content

Site and team

  • Take on site responsibilities when opening or closing, including pool safety checks
  • Act as site lead when needed and provide cover across sites
  • Support the induction and development of newer teachers
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and pool operating procedures at all times
  • Attend meetings, training and CPD, and help run company competitions and events

Qualifications

  • Swim England Level 1 and 2 Teaching Aquatics, or equivalent
  • Swimming coaching qualification (e.g. Swim England Level 2 Coaching or equivalent)
  • RLSS or NRASTC lifesaving qualification
  • First Aid certificate
  • Safeguarding training, or willingness to complete it

Experience

  • At least 2 years' teaching experience across a range of abilities
  • Experience coaching young competitive swimmers in a club or squad environment
  • Experience preparing swimmers for competitions
  • Experience with administration in a related role

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of all four strokes, starts and turns
  • Ability to plan progressive lessons and sessions for different ages and abilities
  • Strong IT skills, including using a CRM or booking system
  • Customer service and relationship management skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Ability to handle information confidentially

Attributes

  • Passionate, positive and energetic on poolside
  • Professional, reliable and well presented
  • Proactive, with the drive to help grow a programme
  • A team player who supports colleagues
  • Flexible with working hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Able to travel between sites in Abu Dhabi (a UAE driving licence is desirable)
