About the role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and water-quality management of

multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools, including the supporting plant room (pumps, filters,

heaters, chemical dosing systems and pool circulation).

 Key responsibilities

• Perform daily water testing (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid) and adjust chemical dosing to maintain compliance with Abu Dhabi health standards. 
• Carry out routine pool cleaning: vacuuming, brushing, skimming, tile/grout cleaning and pool-deck hygiene.
• Inspect and maintain pool lining, edging, ladders, handrails, gratings and safety equipment.
• Backwash filters, replace sand media when due, and log all maintenance activity.
• Identify and report leaks, equipment faults and water-quality deviations promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and support monthly preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the FM supervisor on planned shutdowns, refills and chemical reorders.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as a swimming pool technician (commercial or competition-grade pools preferred).
• Practical knowledge of pool chemistry, sand-filter systems and circulation pump operation.
• Familiar with UAE pool-water quality and hygiene standards.
• Comfortable working with chemicals and following all PPE/HSE protocols.
• Physically fit; able to work in indoor and outdoor pool environments.
• Basic English communication (Arabic an advantage).
• Valid UAE residency or willing to relocate (visa sponsorship available).

Preferred

• Prior experience servicing Olympic / FINA-standard or multi-pool facilities.
• Pool operator certification (CPO, NSPF or equivalent).
• Familiarity with BMS-monitored plant rooms.
• UAE driving licence.
