JOB TITLE: Superintendent - Surveyor I

• Scope of Responsibilities
  
  

Works as a part of a team of surveyors in the survey of the earths surface to determine precise location and

measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction.

• Primary Duties
  
  

 Study the construction plan and the project plan and identify areas to be surveyed.

 Take accountability for the area assigned by the lead

 Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.

 Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and

elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.

 Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe,

certify, and assume liability for work performed.

 Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to

surveys.

 Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or

land features.

 Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

 Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy.

 Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned

with projects.

 Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.

 Develop criteria for the design and modification of survey instruments.

 Coordinate with the Quality Inspectors for certification requirements.

 Carry out other duties as directed by the supervisor.

 Ensure compliance with Company Code of Conduct, local laws and regulations.
