The Supply Chain Officer role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing and optimizing the entire supply chain process. This position ensures that all steps in the supply chain are seamlessly coordinated to meet company objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. You will interact with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure that product requirements are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and resource management. You will be tasked with analyzing and improving our current supply chain operations to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and efficiency. As a Supply Chain Officer, you will play an essential role in supporting business goals by streamlining processes that contribute to the seamless flow of goods and services.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals efficiently.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate best prices and terms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in supply chain operations.
  • Oversee the procurement process by forecasting inventory needs and arranging orders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline production processes and logistics.
  • Implement risk management procedures to anticipate and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost-saving.
  • Maintain accurate records of supply chain activities and prepare management reports.
  • Train and supervise new staff, ensuring understanding and adherence to company protocols.
  • Work on process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in a supply chain or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large sets of data.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry best practices preferred.
  • Capability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and partners.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supply chain challenges.
