Job Description

As a Supply Chain Assistant at our company, you will be an integral part of the team, aiding in the efficient and effective management of all supply chain procedures. This role demands a proactive individual who can handle supply chain planning, procurement, transportation, and inventory management tasks. You'll work closely with various departments to ensure the seamless flow of goods, materials, and resources necessary for the company's operations. The Supply Chain Assistant is essential in supporting the supply chain manager and team in maintaining accurate data, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing resource use. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and efficiency gains in operational functions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily supply chain operations to ensure seamless workflows.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to track and expedite shipments.
  • Support procurement processes, including purchase order creation and vendor management.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to supply chain activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Aid in the preparation of supply chain reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with the logistics team to schedule and oversee delivery operations.
  • Assist in resolving any supply chain issues or disruptions that arise.
  • Participate in supply chain strategy meetings and provide updates.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to implement process improvements.
  • Ensure all supply chain processes comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Support the team in the analysis of supply chain data to enhance decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and data management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while upholding deadlines and priorities.
  • Familiar with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
