Job Purpose
As the Supervisor - MEP at UAE Integrated Facility Management in Abu Dhabi, you will oversee and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations to ensure efficient maintenance and system functionality. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity and reliability of building systems, contributing to seamless facility operations and customer satisfaction.
Roles, Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance teams to ensure prompt and effective service delivery.
- Implement preventive maintenance scheduling to minimize system downtime and extend equipment longevity.
- Monitor and manage energy consumption and waste management systems to support sustainability initiatives.
- Interpret CAD drawings and specifications to guide maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Oversee the operation and control of HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), and CCTV systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers to provide clear updates and ensure accountability.
- Promote teamwork and foster a collaborative environment that encourages proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all MEP operations to comply with regulatory requirements.
Qualification
To excel as a Supervisor - MEP, candidates should possess a comprehensive technical background combined with leadership capabilities. Typically, a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering fields is required.
Strong foundational knowledge in facility management principles, energy management practices, and waste management systems is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in interpreting CAD drawings and technical documentation.
Familiarity with HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV system controls, and preventive maintenance scheduling is critical. Certifications or training related to these systems enhance candidacy.
Effective communication and leadership skills are crucial to manage teams effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. The ability to ensure accountability and motivate team members aligns with organizational objectives.
Technical agility with data tools and mastery of integrated facility management planning will support the operational goals of the department.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates will have significant hands-on experience in managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations within integrated facility management or similar environments.
Proven expertise in energy management, waste management systems, and preventive maintenance scheduling is strongly preferred. Practical experience in operating and controlling HVAC, BMS, and CCTV systems is highly advantageous.
Strong technical fluency with foundational knowledge of digital tools and data management enables efficient operational reporting and decision-making.
