The Supervisor, Maintenance (Electrical) is responsible for supervising the maintenance, service, and repair activities of all electrical systems and equipment and ensuring that all electrical maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with Operations Standards and laid-down work procedures.
In supporting new projects, the supervisor is involved in reviewing proposals, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, and conducting risk assessments. Additionally, this role coordinates with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department to ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed with minimal risk.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Electrical Maintenance Supervision
Supervises the service, repair, and maintenance activities of all electrical systems and equipment, including maintenance of low and medium voltage equipment, switchgear, control panels, instrumentation, and control systems.
Coordinate the maintenance of a wide range of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently. It involves the hands-on supervision of equipment ranging from low and medium voltage apparatus to intricate control systems and panels.
Reviews and allocates all daily work orders received for any maintenance works required.
Thorough review of incoming work orders to prioritize and distribute tasks effectively among the maintenance team members. This ensures that all maintenance requirements are addressed promptly and accurately.
Coordinates with Maintenance Planning for scheduling and implementation of required repair and maintenance works.
Close collaboration with the Maintenance Planning team to schedule and execute necessary repair and maintenance tasks. This coordination helps in aligning maintenance activities with operational needs and timelines.
Coordinate with end users for all repairs, replacements, modifications, calibrations, overhauls, etc., ensuring smooth progress of all scheduled repair and preventive maintenance works.
Maintaining open communication with end users is crucial for understanding their needs and ensuring that all repair and maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
Inventory and Supplier Coordination
Reviews and monitors spare part inventory and recommends additional parts to be stocked.
Regular monitoring of spare part inventory to ensure that critical components are always available.
Assessing stock levels and recommending the procurement of additional parts to avoid any operational delays. Advises on minimum and maximum stock levels.
Providing guidance on optimal stock levels ensures that there is neither an excess nor a shortage of spare parts.
Arranges and follows up on any spare/materials from suppliers/contractors with whom the company has made agreements.
Effective coordination with suppliers and contractors to secure and expedite the delivery of necessary spares and materials.
Tracking orders and ensuring timely follow-ups to maintain uninterrupted supply chains.

New Projects and Modifications
Supports the Team Leader in reviewing new project and modification proposals.
Assisting the Team Leader by thoroughly evaluating new project and modification proposals. The review process ensures that all electrical aspects are feasible and align with the company’s operational standards.
Participation in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to verify that all electrical systems are correctly installed and operational before going live.
Conducting Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessments (HSEIA), Hazard Identification Studies (HAZID), and other risk assessments.
Reviews the scope of work, engineering details, and project specifications for the electrical portions of all maintenance major projects.

Standards and Procedures Compliance
Ensures that all jobs are carried out according to Operations Standards and laid-down work instructions/procedures.

Health and Safety Coordination
Collaboration with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department for instructing and training technicians.
Ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and with minimal risk is a primary responsibility. This involves implementing safety measures and constantly assessing the work environment for potential hazards.
Providing advice on the condition of assets for write-offs and preparing technical reports for write-off applications is essential for maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring that obsolete or non[1]functional assets are appropriately managed.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum 3 years Higher Diploma or 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instruments Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance role in Oil and Gas Industry or Petrochemical industry.
