Job Purpose

Supervise the condition monitoring of rotating equipment; analyse, assess and report its reliability, and

recommend areas for improvement to contribute in maintaining and maximizing the Site’s performance

Key Accountabilities

Condition Monitoring

  • Supervise the collection of rotating equipment condition monitoring data for analysis and performance

maintenance/improvement and other purposes.

  • Supervise the carrying out of the predictive maintenance on rotating machinery such as gas

compressors, pumps gas and steam turbines, blowers, motors etc. as per the defined specifications.

  • Supervise the Condition Monitoring checking which include, but not limited to, vibrations, temperature

and pressures, oils’ levels and flows, steam traps monitoring, surveillance, and traps analysis. Raise

the relevant work orders.

  • Supervise the daily review and checking of online monitoring systems to ensure that the machines’

performance is maintained at higher levels.

  • Support the post repair acceptance of the rotating equipment based on the condition monitoring

parameters.

  • Build and update the equipment conditions monitoring database for easy data reference and retrieval.
  • Analyse machinery issues and recommend cost-efficient solutions to ensure the equipment reliability

and contribute in maintaining and maximizing the Plant’s performance.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on rotating equipment condition monitoring to

enable decision making.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job

and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the Section / Team / Department budgets and assist in the

implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.

  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and

procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International

standards.

  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Team /

Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational

processes.

  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line

with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability

guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

  • Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 5 years of experience in supervising the condition monitoring activities within a large industrial

organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

  • Fundamental understanding in the development of condition monitoring programs and rotating

equipment function's procedures throughout the life cycle of the project with demonstrated technical

leadership and support to the team.

  • Strong knowledge in condition monitoring techniques and their execution.
  • Good knowledge in equipment criticality assessment, root cause analysis and bad actor management.
  • Awareness about analysis programs such as reliability centered maintenance and review of existing

maintenance (REM), risk based inspection (RBI), and instrument protected function (IPF).

  • Expertise in the preparation of the condition monitoring performance indicator calculations, technical

notes, requisitions, specifications and deliverables.

  • Experience in applying the relevant HSE standards and procedures.
  • Experience with IT applications relevant to the job.
  • Planning, organising, scheduling, co-ordinating, checking, examining, and recording.

Professional Certifications

  • Vibration Certificate (level 2 and 3) depending on the maturity of the technique as described in the

Operational Excellence Manual.
