Subcontract Engineer Vessel Chartering

Job Summary

To manage vessel chartering subcontracts for offshore projects, ensuring efficient execution of the bidding process, successful negotiation and finalization of charter party agreements (BIMCO standard), and compliance with commercial, contractual, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full subcontracting and bidding process (ITB / RFQ), from receipt of Purchase Requisitions (PR) through to preparation of Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE).
• Ensure all commercial, contractual, operational, and financial milestones are met throughout the charter period.
• Support contract administration activities during the execution phase, including variations, claims, and change management related to chartering agreements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to chartering subcontracts and commercial negotiations.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineer etc.
• BIMCO Offshore Oil & Gas
• Minimum 2 years provided that the experience is directly related to vessel chartering.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong commercial awareness related to vessel chartering activities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of vessel chartering principles and market dynamics.
• Good working knowledge of BIMCO charter party contracts.
• Ability to manage interfaces with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced offshore project environment.
