The Store Manager – Supermarket is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery and efficient day-to-day operations within the assigned supermarket. The role drives sales growth, maximizes profitability, ensures optimal stock availability and management, enhances customer satisfaction, and supports sustainable business growth. Additionally, the Store Manager oversees operational performance, identifies improvement opportunities, and implements effective action plans to achieve business
ROLE PROFILE
Implement supermarket strategies, policies, and operational plans in alignment with MAF Retail objectives, collaborating closely with Head Office and Corporate teams.
Drive commercial performance through analysis of sales, profitability, and operational metrics, while identifying opportunities to enhance revenue and optimize costs.
Ensure effective merchandise and inventory management, including stock availability, pricing consistency, waste reduction, and minimization of shrinkage.
Partner with Merchandising and Department Heads to maintain attractive product displays, efficient stock replenishment, and timely delivery of merchandise.
Oversee supermarket service functions, including asset maintenance, hygiene, health & safety compliance, and adherence to customer service standards.
Lead and develop the supermarket team by setting performance objectives, providing feedback, coaching, and supporting talent development initiatives.
Identify training and manpower requirements, coordinate learning initiatives, and implement on-the-job training to build team capabilities.
Ensure compliance with MAF Retail’s corporate policies, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to support sustainable business growth.
Requirements
Achieve strong financial performance including turnover, net profit, margins, and transaction growth.
Minimize waste and shrinkage while ensuring effective inventory control and product availability.
Maintain high standards of merchandising, stock quality, and overall product availability.
Drive customer satisfaction, operational health index (OHI) results, and service excellence.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and security standards across all supermarket operations.
Develop human capital through effective leadership, coaching, training, and retention strategies, supported by strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
