Store keeper

Role Purpose

To manage material storage and issuance at Innovo MEP project site stores, ensuring accurate stock records and safe, organised storage of materials and equipment.

Key Accountabilities

• Stock Management
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment at the site store.
• Issue materials to site teams against approved requisitions and maintain accurate stock records.
• Inventory Control
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile with ERP records.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Material Controller.
• Store Organisation
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe storage area in line with HSE requirements.
• Maintain clear labelling and bin/location coding to enable efficient material retrieval.
• Material Handling
• Coordinate safe loading, unloading, and internal transfer of materials and equipment.
• Ensure manufacturer storage and handling requirements are followed for sensitive items.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain goods received notes, delivery notes, and material issue vouchers.
• Prepare periodic stock status reports for the Material Controller and Procurement.
• Innovation & Value Creation
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.
• Encourage innovative thinking to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  

• Diploma or secondary education
• Minimum 3–5 years of store keeping experience in construction
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills
• Good knowledge of MEP materials, tools, consumables, and equipment storage requirements
• Experience using ERP/material management systems and maintaining accurate stock records
• Good organisational, record-keeping, numeracy, and reporting skills
• Awareness of HSE requirements related to storage, housekeeping, manual handling, and material segregation
• Ability to coordinate professionally with suppliers, delivery drivers, procurement, and site teams
