Job Description:


The Storekeeper is responsible for managing all site store operations, including the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. The role ensures proper inventory control, accurate record-keeping, and coordination with relevant departments to support smooth site operations.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Material Ordering & Receiving



  • Coordinate material requests (MRRS) with site personnel and ensure proper approvals.

  • Receive materials against LPO, MRRS, and delivery notes; inspect for quantity and quality in coordination with QA/QC.

  • Handle receipt of concrete and reinforcement as per company procedures, ensuring proper inspection and documentation.

  • Acknowledge and sign relevant documents (Delivery Notes, Petty Cash Invoices) as per delegation and approvals.



  1. Material Storage & Issuance



  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials, including monitoring shelf life and expiry dates.

  • Issue materials, tools, and equipment to site teams and other project locations with proper authorization.

  • Maintain control over returnable and non-returnable items, coordinating with site and plant teams.



  1. Records & Reporting



  • Maintain accurate stock records, material stock cards, delivery notes, invoices, MRRS, and SRTs.

  • Prepare monthly stock balance and cost reports, ensuring alignment with company account codes.

  • Keep organized records for audit and handover at project close-out, including excess and unused materials.



  1. Timekeeping (if assigned)



  • Support or supervise daily attendance tracking, labor hour calculations, and monthly payroll reports.

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records and submit reports to PM/PCM as required.


Qualifications & Skills:



  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Store/Material Management or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as Storekeeper in a construction company.

  • Knowledge of material handling, inventory control, and procurement procedures.

  • Familiarity with concrete, reinforcement, and construction materials.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
