Job Description

The Stock Coordinator is an integral part of our supply chain operations, tasked with overseeing and managing the inventory within our warehouse or retail environment. The candidate in this role is responsible for ensuring that all stock levels are maintained correctly, orders are filled accurately, and supply chain operations are smooth and efficient. This position requires a detailed-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain meticulous records, and work collaboratively with other departments. The Stock Coordinator role not only involves physical management of inventory but also strategic thinking to predict inventory needs and address shortfalls. An understanding of inventory management software and the ability to analyze sales data trends are essential skills for this position. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards solving stock-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee the storage and organization of goods in the warehouse.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained according to company standards.
  • Manage incoming shipments and verify delivered quantities.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in shipments.
  • Update inventory management systems with accurate stock information.
  • Conduct regular audits of stock to report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the setting up of promotional displays and stock layouts.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to forecast inventory needs.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed reports on stock levels and orders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Manage returns and ensure defective items are processed correctly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education preferred.
  • Proven experience in stock management or supply chain roles.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management and forecasting software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to conduct physical work and lift heavy items when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset for planning inventory.
