Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our pediatric clinic team. Our clinic is committed to providing exceptional care to our young patients, ranging from infants to adolescents. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care and comfort to children and their families. You will work closely with pediatricians, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a child-friendly environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of our young patients. Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor pediatric patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing regularly.
  • Administer vaccines and medications according to clinic and legal protocols.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for young patients.
  • Educate parents and guardians on patient care to maintain health outside clinic visits.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians and clinical staff to determine optimal patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate patient records and charts.
  • Monitor and respond swiftly to any changes in a child's health condition.
  • Coordinate with specialists and external healthcare providers for holistic care.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation and recovery programs as per medical guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards in the clinic environment.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to children and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinic environment to prevent infection and allergies.

Requirements

  • Current nursing license and registration with the state board of nursing.
  • Proven experience working as a nurse in pediatric or similar healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective care plans for children.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with children and families.
  • Proficient in maintaining and updating electronic health records and documentation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, specializing in pediatric emergency procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during emergency situations.
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and understanding to support pediatric patients effectively.
