Job Description

The Staff Nurse at our Pediatric Clinic plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate and professional healthcare to our young patients and their families. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in nursing practices but also has a genuine passion for working with children and understands their unique needs. The pediatric nurse will be responsible for directly interacting with patients, conducting routine health checks, administering medications, and educating families about children's health. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform routine health checks and document patient information accurately.
  • Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures for young patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any significant changes promptly.
  • Educate parents on children’s health maintenance and preventative care strategies.
  • Maintain the highest standards of infection control and safety measures.
  • Ensure medical equipment and supplies are properly cleaned and available for use.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Manage patient charts and ensure sensitive information is kept confidential.
  • Offer emotional support to children and families during stressful healthcare experiences.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities as required.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is essential.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • At least two years of nursing experience, with a focus on pediatrics strongly preferred.
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) credential is highly advantageous for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail in patient care.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
