Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a staff nurse in our rapidly paced emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-level care to patients in urgent and critical conditions. Your primary role will involve assessing patient needs, prioritizing critical situations, and administering immediate care to stabilize patients. This position requires quick thinking, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. As part of our team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive medical services. Your dedication to providing exceptional patient care will be paramount as you work to improve patient outcomes and support the broader healthcare team.


Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health conditions rapidly and accurately in emergency situations.
  • Administer medications and treatments quickly based on physician orders and protocols.
  • Monitor vital signs and medical equipment effectively during patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals for patient assessments.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and emergency care procedures.
  • Participate in emergency room procedures including intubations and setting IV lines.
  • Coordinate patient admission, discharge, and transfer activities efficiently.
  • Maintain sterilization and hygiene in operating and patient care areas.
  • Undergo continuous professional development in emergency nursing techniques.
  • Support team members and new staff through mentorship and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and treatment protocols consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is mandatory for this position.
  • At least two years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Strong ethical and professional behavior aligned with healthcare standards.
