Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our emergency department. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Staff Nurse in our emergency department, you will play an essential role in providing immediate and critical care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess patients’ conditions, prioritize care, and perform interventions to stabilize and treat patients efficiently. Your expertise and quick decision-making abilities will help save lives and improve outcomes for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately upon arrival in the emergency department.
  • Provide immediate and life-saving care to patients in critical conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to appropriate medical staff immediately.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and medical histories.
  • Educate patients and families on the care plans and follow-up procedures post-treatment.
  • Ensure the emergency department is equipped and prepared for incoming patients at all times.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and continuous training exercises.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and patient privacy at all times.
  • Assist in the triage process and prioritize patient care based on urgency of treatment.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an emergency department or similar setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to handle high-stress environments while maintaining professionalism and composure.
