Job Summary:

We are looking for a Strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality goods and services that align with ADASI’s operational and technological goals. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and deep market knowledge, particularly in the defense and autonomous systems sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify and qualify suppliers capable of meeting technical, quality, cost, and delivery requirements for defense and technology projects.
• Market Intelligence: Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing dynamics to support strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure alignment with ADASI’s standards.
• Cost Optimization: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve optimal value while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, R&D, legal, and project teams to understand specifications, timelines, and risk factors for critical purchases.
• Contract Execution: Support the preparation, review, and management of supply contracts in coordination with procurement contract officers and legal teams.
• Risk Management: Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring continuity of supply for critical systems and components.
• Sustainability & Compliance: Promote ethical sourcing and ensure all procurement activities adhere to applicable laws, policies, and export control regulations.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in defense, aerospace, high-tech, or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of procurement strategy, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis.
• Experience sourcing complex technical products or systems, including electronics, components, or unmanned technologies.
• Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ERP tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

• Certification such as CIPS, CPM, or CPSM is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ITAR, offset requirements, and government procurement standards is a plus.
• Background in defense technology, AI systems, or autonomous platforms is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English
