Job Description

A Senior Security Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a companys security systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing security systems, including access control systems, video surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems.
• Maintaining security systems, ensuring that all systems are operating at optimal levels and that all hardware is updated and patched as needed.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the security systems, including monitoring systems and responding to any issues that arise.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for all security systems and processes, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Ensuring the security and integrity of security systems and data, including implementing security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and backup procedures.
• Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for hardware and software.
• Providing technical guidance and support to other members of the IT and security teams and working with other departments to ensure that the security systems are meeting their needs.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing security measures to protect the companys assets and facilities.
• Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing to ensure the availability and reliability of the security systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems within the security systems.
• Training and mentoring security systems engineers to ensure that the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to support the security systems
  
  

• General knowledge of current and emerging technologies in Network, Public Cloud, Security systems and IT hardware.
• Technical Qualifications: Certification in security systems, data centre management, or related fields.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
• Minimum 8 years of experience
