Senior Expert – Energy Components Midstream

Overview

The Senior Energy Components (EC) Midstream Expert plays a critical leadership role within the Professional Services team, delivering complex software implementations for energy companies across the Middle East and globally.

This role is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and optimization of Quorum’s

Energy Components solutions, particularly within midstream operations such as cargo planning, terminal operations, and hydrocarbon logistics. The Senior Expert will drive architecture decisions, lead delivery teams, and ensure alignment between technology solutions and client operational processes.

The ideal candidate combines deep Energy Components expertise with strong technical leadership and hands-on experience in midstream oil & gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead teams of up to 15 consultants to deliver enterprise-scale implementations, upgrades, and enhancements of Quorum solutions
  • Drive end-to-end solution architecture including high-level and detailed design, development, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment
  • Provide technical leadership across key technologies including PL/SQL, RESTful APIs, cloud-based DevOps pipelines (AWS or similar), and Java-based systems
  • Manage multiple client engagements across complex and large-scale environments, ensuring delivery excellence
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering strong technical capability and accountability

Client Engagement & Solution Architecture

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, particularly within Middle East midstream operations
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand client workflows, including cargo planning, terminal operations, and hydrocarbon movements
  • Align client processes with industry best practices and Quorum Energy Components capabilities
  • Engage with both technical teams and senior stakeholders to define scalable and efficient solutions

Quality, Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to industry standards, best practices, and client requirements
  • Collaborate with Product Management to align client needs with product roadmap and delivery timelines
  • Stay current with regional market trends, regulatory considerations, and emerging technologies
  • Share knowledge and lessons learned across the wider Quorum organization

Pre-Sales & Solution Support (as needed)

  • Support sales cycles through technical expertise in client discussions
  • Contribute to RFP responses and help define compelling value propositions
  • Deliver tailored, high-quality product demonstrations aligned to client needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related analytical discipline
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Quorum Energy Components (EC)
  • 5+ years of experience delivering full-scale EC implementations, specifically within midstream environments
  • Proven expertise in midstream operations including cargo planning, terminal operations, storage, and hydrocarbon logistics
  • Experience working within the Middle East energy sector or similar large-scale, complex operating environments
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas value chain processes, particularly in midstream and downstream integration points
  • Experience gathering business and technical requirements and translating them into scalable system solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large teams (8+ members) and manage end-to-end delivery
  • Strong technical capabilities including advanced SQL, Java (or similar), and system architecture knowledge
  • Experience with data integration, system interfaces, and enterprise application environments
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern deployment practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Skills

  • Deep expertise across the Quorum software suite, especially Energy Components
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS or similar), SaaS delivery models, and DevOps practices
  • Strong programming background (SQL, Java, C#, or similar) and familiarity with enterprise architectures
  • Experience contributing to or managing software development initiatives
  • Prior experience working with national oil companies, terminal operators, or large midstream organizations
