Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Sr. Commissioning Engineer (HVAC) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required
The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
Responsibilities
Execute HVAC commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas facilities, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea cable and pipeline developments, and brownfield modification projects
Responsible for ensuring that all Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Pressurization, and Refrigeration systems are installed, tested, commissioned, and handed over safely and in accordance with project specifications, international standards, safety requirements, and operational performance criteria
Ensures that HVAC systems supporting personnel safety, equipment reliability, hazardous area protection, and operational continuity perform as designed prior to startup and handover
Develop HVAC Commissioning Execution Plans, procedures, method statements, and schedules.
Review HVAC engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, P&IDs, HVAC layouts, control philosophies, and system descriptions.
Define commissioning system boundaries and turnover sequences.
Participate in constructability reviews, operability reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and startup readiness assessments.
Prepare commissioning dossiers, test sheets, and checklists.
Coordinate HVAC commissioning activities with construction, electrical, I&C, and operations teams
Commission HVAC systems for offshore Wellhead Towers and associated facilities.
Verify ventilation and pressurization requirements for offshore control and electrical rooms.
Commission HVAC systems associated with offshore substations, telecom shelters, and control facilities.
Verify HVAC support systems for subsea control equipment rooms.
Coordinate commissioning under SIMOPS conditions.
Ensure continuity of HVAC support to operating facilities during modifications.
Promote safe commissioning practices during offshore campaigns.
Resolve technical issues affecting HVAC commissioning and startup.
Experience Required
Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
Proven dedicated experience in HVAC commissioning experience.
Experience in Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
