Penspen www.penspen.com are looking for a dynamic Sr. Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required
The candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Responsibilities
Execute electrical commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), subsea cable and pipeline developments, offshore platforms, and brownfield modifications
Responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are safely installed, tested, energized, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, applicable international standards, company procedures, and operational requirements.
Serves as the technical authority for electrical commissioning activities and interfaces closely with engineering, construction, vendors, operations, and client teams throughout project execution
Develop Electrical Commissioning Execution Plans, procedures, and systemization strategies.
Review electrical engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, and commissioning requirements.
Define system and subsystem boundaries for Mechanical Completion (MC) and commissioning.
Prepare commissioning schedules aligned with construction and project milestones.
Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, operability, and commissioning reviews.
Ensure commissioning activities are integrated into overall project execution plans.
Coordinate electrical commissioning activities for offshore Wellhead Towers and associated platforms.
Support integration between WHTs and central processing facilities.
Verify offshore power distribution and communication interfaces.
Support commissioning of subsea power cable systems.
Verify cable continuity, insulation resistance, sheath integrity, and termination quality.
Coordinate testing of subsea power supply systems and associated topside interfaces.
Experience Required
Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
Proven experience in electrical commissioning experience
Experience in commissioning Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
