Spray Painting Foreman

Role Overview

The Spray Painting Foreman is responsible for supervising team of spray painters, coordinating surface preparation, coating application, inventory management, and equipment maintenance to ensure full compliance with approved specifications, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead spray painting team to meet productivity criteria and project timelines.
• Plan, coordinate, and align daily coating activities with schedules.
• Oversee surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, masking, etc.), paint mixing, and spray coating techniques.
• Inspect surfaces pre- and post-coating to ensure high-quality, defect-free finishes.
• Ensure proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of spray equipment (guns, compressors, booths).
• Monitor material usage, control inventory, and minimize wastage.
• Enforce HSE policies, PPE compliance, and safe handling of materials.
• Train team on safety procedures, equipment use, and quality standards.
• Report work progress, issues, and corrective actions to management.
• Handle petty cash for operational needs, maintaining accurate records, approvals, and periodic reconciliation in line with company policies.
• Review, verify, and sign off on inspection and quality documentation - including daily and final inspection reports, non-conformance reports, material usage records, and certificates of conformity - ensuring accuracy and compliances.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Spray Painting Foreman or Senior Spray Painter.
• In-depth knowledge of coatings, surface preparation, and spray equipment.
• Familiar with safety regulations and site practices.
• Basic knowledge of CAD drawings and ability to interpret measurements will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with specific attention to details.
