Specialist – Technical PAM Change Manager

A large enterprise organization with a mature security function is seeking a Technical PAM Change Manager to manage all technical changes related to its Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. The successful candidate will ensure PAM changes are planned, tested, documented, and implemented with minimal operational impact, maintaining the integrity of security controls and governance throughout the change lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement technical changes to PAM solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea.
  • Assess change risk, define rollback plans, and ensure all changes meet security and governance standards prior to implementation.
  • Collaborate with security, IT operations, and change management teams to schedule and communicate planned changes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of PAM configurations, change histories, test results, and approvals.
  • Perform pre- and post-change testing and validation to confirm PAM system functionality and integrity.
  • Ensure all changes comply with the organizations change management policies and ITIL change management framework.
  • Support PAM onboarding activities including new account provisioning, system integrations, and access reviews.
  • Identify and report PAM-related risks, exceptions, and deviations from policy to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for PAM platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security or operations, with at least 3 years working directly with PAM solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with PAM platforms such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea.
  • Strong understanding of privileged access controls, session management, and credential vaulting principles.
  • Experience with IT change management processes and the ITIL change management framework.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical and governance records.
  • Ability to assess security risks associated with system changes and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • CyberArk Defender, Sentry, or equivalent PAM vendor certification and ITIL Foundation certification are advantageous.
