Specialist Sports Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Sports Medicine to join our team. This role involves providing expert medical care focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries. The Specialist will work closely with athletes, coaches, and a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal health, enhance performance, and facilitate safe return to sport.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of sports injuries
• Design and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, athletic trainers, and nutritionists
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques and healthy lifestyle choices
• Conduct interventional procedures such as joint injections when required
• Keep up to date on the latest sports medicine research and techniques
• Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote sports health and safety
  
  

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of residency training in Sports Medicine or a related specialty
• Board certification in Sports Medicine preferred
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in sports medicine or related field
• Thorough knowledge of sports injury management and rehabilitation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
