Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Specialist, Social Channel supports the strategic management and execution of ADNOC’s corporate social media presence. This role is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering engaging content across social platforms in alignment with ADNOC’s brand and strategic objectives. The Senior Specialist collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency, drives targeted engagement with key audiences, and monitors social media trends to enhance ADNOC’s digital impact. By contributing to both content creation and campaign execution, the Senior Specialist helps reinforce ADNOC’s narrative of innovation, sustainability, and leadership, strengthening audience connection and advocacy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the execution of ADNOC’s corporate social media strategy by assisting in the development of content that enhances brand equity, fosters engagement, and reinforces the company’s reputation as an innovative energy leader.
  • Contribute to crafting and delivering a consistent and compelling corporate narrative across all social platforms, ensuring messaging aligns with ADNOC’s strategic priorities and brand identity.
  • Assist in content planning and execution for campaigns that showcase ADNOC’s initiatives, achievements, and impact, ensuring stories are tailored to resonate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the production of high-quality editorial, visual, and influencer content that highlights ADNOC’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and leadership.
  • Help drive audience engagement and growth by executing data-informed content strategies, supporting community management, and contributing to platform optimization efforts.
  • Monitor, track, and report on social media performance and trends, providing insights to refine strategy and ensure ADNOC’s digital presence remains responsive and relevant.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate social media content and activities into broader communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Generic Accountabilities

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on the appropriate and relevant skills to enable them to become proficient in the job and able to deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the Section / Departmental budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes measured against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency. These should be in line with ISO standards.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

  • Manager, Social Channels.
  • The Senior Specialist, Social Channels will communicate regularly with the marketing team, content creators, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of social media activities with overall business objectives. This includes participating in meetings, sharing insights, and collaborating on projects.
  • Any other Directorate / Function, as required.

External

  • ADNOC Group Companies.
  • Externally, the Senior Specialist will engage with social media followers, respond to customer inquiries, and collaborate with influencers and partners to enhance ADNOC’s online presence. This requires maintaining a professional and positive image of the company in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 10 year’s of experience in n social media management or a related role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in social channel monitoring tools and platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize data from various sources.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional.
