Job Purpose:

To be responsible for Project Managing all tender and proposal submissions and ensuring the business’s onboarding and compliance with all customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage the tender life cycle from registration to final decision, ensuring compliance and timely submission of RFQ response packages.
  • Anchor the tender strategy related to pricing and value proposition in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring accurate translation into submissions.
  • Coordinate with operations, HSSEQ, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams for timely inputs and reviews.
  • Arrange kick-off meetings for tenders, assign roles and responsibilities, and ensure accountability for interim and final milestones.
  • Guide the creation of a tender library with mandatory forms, certificates, and product value propositions, enhancing document quality.
  • Review and consolidate risks related to Legal, Operational, Commercial, and Financial aspects, presenting them in tender preparation meetings.
  • Prepare and review tender forms and statutory documents to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Regularly check compliance and registration with current and potential customers, ensuring all registrations are in place.
  • Collaborate with business development, project managers, finance, project controls, and other staff to ensure contract pricing activities comply with approved guidelines.
  • Perform other responsibilities as appropriate for the position.
  • Analyze pricing data and market conditions to recommend optimal pricing structures.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as EBITDA, profit margins, pricing metrics, customer acquisition costs, and sales volume to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead pricing negotiations with freight carriers to secure optimal freight terms and competitive pricing.
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing, and Development teams to recognize market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape for effective pricing strategies.
  • Maintain a price repository for various products and services, publishing it internally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pricing, tender management, or sales roles within the logistics industry.
