Specialist - Data Engineering

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data integration processes to consolidate data from various sources.
• Data Transformation: Support data transformation and ETL processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compatibility with downstream applications.
• Data Modeling: Collaborate in creating and maintaining data models that facilitate reporting, analytics, and data visualization, optimizing data storage and retrieval.
• Data Pipeline Orchestration: Assist in data pipeline workflows, ensuring efficient data movement, and supporting infrastructure management.
• Data Quality Assurance: Participate in data quality checks, validations, and error handling to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for data engineering processes, data models, and data pipeline workflows.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in investigating and resolving data-related issues and errors, ensuring data availability and accuracy.
• Training and Learning: Continuously update your skills and knowledge in data engineering and related technologies through training and learning opportunities.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Engineering).
• Understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL, and data integration.
• Experience in a wide range of tools and technologies, including but not limited to Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Python for advanced scripting, Snowflake data engineering, Terraform for infrastructure management, and dbt for data transformation.
• Familiarity with data engineering tools and technologies, such as SQL, ETL tools, and data modeling.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of data engineering.

• Arabic – Nice to have
• 8+ years of experience.
• 6+ years in implementing data warehouse and business intelligence solutions in similar industry
• 4+ years of experience working in a similar role
