The Specialist in Catering Operations, identified as 25M26, is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the seamless functioning of catering services. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage and coordinate catering operations effectively. The individual in this role will ensure that catering events are executed smoothly, meeting customer expectations and maintaining high standards of service and quality. The Specialist will work closely with clients to understand their needs, coordinate with suppliers for quality ingredients, and manage the catering team on-site during events. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day catering operations and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to procure quality ingredients.
  • Prepare detailed event plans, including menus, staff schedules, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
  • Monitor the quality of food and service, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Lead and train catering staff to enhance service efficiency and professionalism.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop innovative and appealing menu options.
  • Manage the catering budget effectively, optimizing resources and controlling costs.
  • Evaluate and improve catering operations and processes to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct regular reviews and generate reports to assess operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Catering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in catering operations or a similar hospitality role.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on details and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with clients and teams.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering management software tools.
